Better get my editing hands together and ready. I've planned it well so all I need is to sharpen the edges and it should be well done and prepared a few days before the release date

One of the many things I absolutely love about my job at On In London is the great benefits and experiences it comes with, such as reviewing a range of different events!
I'm an outgoing person that loves to meet people, so this is an aspect of it that certainly helps. Anyway, I attended an awesome first birthday party of a company named Food and Lycra, created by three ladies with a dream of food, fitness, and fun!

It was honestly what I most anticipated from the world famous and prestigious broadcasting company known as the BBC!
By the end of this day I would've hoped to have gained as much insight, information and inspiration as possible. And I certainly did!
I woke up at crazy o'clock to catch the train from London to Birmingham New Street, less than a five minute walk to BBC studios located within the local centre. I made my way up the escalator to be greeted by a well dressed gentleman asking for my name as he could already tell what I was there for.
A moment within telling him, he passes me a BBC tag with my name written on it (!!!) and then escorts me to a room where the introduction talks are about to take place. Behind the chair are workers of the BBC for many years, and are there to answer any questions that we have in mind related to the options of 12 month graduate jobs beginning later on in the year. A few amongst them were:
Don Kong (@don_b_kong), BBC trainee community manager, who deals with trainees that are particularly interested in working as a production trainee
Emily Spooner (@emilykspooner), who is a current production trainee for the BBC and spoke to us about her experiences and how she's finding it so far.
I held such great understanding to each word that was spoken, not only amongst the speakers but from other individuals like myself, seeking more information regarding the scheme.
I was particular interested in the journalism trainee scheme (shocked? Haha) as I loved the criteria in terms of what they were looking for:
- a budding journalist with drive, passion and ambition to a particular field of journalism
- must have some sort of experience/ something to show of their work
- flexible
- organised, responsible and hard working
I smiled as I thought over this time last year, and how I made it a priority as well as a resolution to fully put my work out there and let people know what I'm about really!
11th March 2013: first ever article published and shared
From that time until January 2014, I still continued and stayed committed to writing articles, review all types of events, and every other week work of mine was published, my portfolio was growing, and I made sure I produced work of a suitable and good standard that reflected the type of journalist that I am
...and then I moved onto visual journalism by posting blog videos and my first ever documentary released on 23rd January 2014!
You see how great God is? Put that planning into action and you'll be so amazed at the result.
My day at the BBC was incredible, I spoke and connected with very driven people which I love, and made note of all of the important information that I would fully reflect on later. This is definitely a job that is going on the bulletin board. *fingers, toes, and body crossed!!*
